I can't see the Settings tab

Settings visibility is role-based — View only users don't get it — but if you should have access, a hard refresh or fresh login usually fixes it.

Settings normally appears in the left-hand sidebar. If it's missing for you, there are two likely explanations: your role doesn't include it, or your browser is showing you a stale session.

Check your role first

Access to Settings is role-based. Brolly's roles are Owner, Group owner and View only — and View only users don't manage settings, so Settings won't appear for them at all. That's by design, not a fault.

If you're not sure what role you have, ask your organisation's Brolly owner — they can check under Settings → Users and adjust your access if needed. More detail in Users, roles and permissions.

Also check the org switcher at the top-right: if you belong to more than one organisation, make sure you're looking at the one where you expect to have access.

If you should have access but still can't see it

Browsers cache previous sessions, and this can leave you looking at an out-of-date view — especially if more than one person logs in to Brolly on the same computer. Work through these steps:

  • Do a hard refresh so the browser loads the page fresh.
  • If that doesn't help, log out, close the browser completely (all tabs), reopen it and log back in with your own credentials.
  • Still nothing? Open a private window (Incognito in Chrome, Private Browsing in Firefox, InPrivate in Edge) and log in there. A private window ignores the cache, so everything your role allows should appear.

If you've tried all of the above and Settings still isn't visible, email support@brolly.com.au and we'll sort it out.
