Your Plan, Trial and Add-ons

What a Brolly plan includes, which features are optional add-ons, what happens when a free trial ends, and who to contact to change your plan or get an invoice.

Overview

Brolly plans allow unlimited social account connections and unlimited team members, so you are never charged extra for connecting another account or inviting a colleague. There is no billing page in Brolly: plan changes, invoices and payment details are handled by the Brolly team rather than self-service. This article explains what is included, what is optional, and what to expect at the end of a free trial.

What Every Plan Includes

Core Brolly is included in every plan: capture of your connected accounts, the Archive and its search, the record inspector, exports, alerts and the Settings pages for managing accounts, team and organisation.

Some organisations see a read-only Plans and Billing card at the bottom of Settings → Organisation showing their Current plan, the number of connected Accounts and the number of Active users. It is informational only — nothing on it can be changed — and many organisations do not see it at all.

Optional Add-ons

Some capabilities are optional add-ons you can put on your plan when you need them:

  • Groups — restrict which accounts each team member sees. Without it your organisation has a single group and the group controls are not shown; see Managing Groups
  • Insights — analytics and reporting across your archive, under Insights in the sidebar
  • Protect — an optional module under Protect in the sidebar; guides are coming soon
  • OpenText Content Manager integration — file records directly into Content Manager
  • Brolly API — programmatic access to your archive
  • Hootsuite integration — view, tag and annotate archived records from inside Hootsuite

The three integrations are listed under Settings → Integrations with a Register interest button each — see Integrations. If a feature you expect is missing from your sidebar or Settings, it is most likely an add-on that is not on your plan; email support@brolly.com.au or talk to your account manager to enable it.

The Free Trial

A standard trial runs for 30 days, needs no card, and includes the archive and monitoring: capture, the Archive, Alerts and Exports for unlimited accounts and people. Insights, Protect, Groups and the integrations are add-ons and are only part of a trial if the Brolly team switches them on for you, so ask at the start if you want to evaluate them. Current trial terms and plans are on brolly.io/pricing. Connect your accounts early so the archive has something in it to evaluate, and invite the colleagues who need to review it — IT, records management and communications — since the trial is for the whole organisation, not one person.

When the Trial Ends

When the trial period is over, signing in shows the Trial ended page instead of Home: "Your trial has ended. Thanks for trying Brolly. Let's find the right plan to keep you going." Your archive is not deleted; access is paused until the organisation is on a plan or the trial is extended.

Under Where to next? ("Talk to us about an ongoing plan, or ask for more time on your trial.") you have two options:

  • Talk to our team — sends an upgrade request to the Brolly team. The button reads Sending…, then "Thanks — we've let our team know. They'll be in contact shortly."

  • Request an extension — choose a Reason for request from the list and click Send request. The reasons are:

    • I am waiting for colleagues to assist with connecting social accounts
    • I have not had enough time to share the platform with my colleagues to review
    • Our IT team are still reviewing the platform
    • Our Records / information management team need more time to evaluate the platform
    • Other — a Tell us more box appears for your own reason

Leaving the reason blank shows "Please choose a reason."; choosing Other without text shows "Please tell us a little more." Once sent: "Your request has been forwarded to our team. They'll be in contact shortly."

If a request cannot be sent, the page says so and gives the support address to email instead. Log out ("Done for now?") signs you out, and Need help? support@brolly.com.au is in the corner of the page throughout.

Changing Your Plan or Getting an Invoice

Plan changes, add-ons, invoices and payment details are handled by the Brolly team — email support@brolly.com.au and they will sort it out. For procurement, panel or multi-year arrangements, talk to your account manager.

Tips

Ask for the add-ons you need at the start of a trial so you can evaluate them alongside the core product.

Settings → Activity Log has a Billing event category, so plan changes made by the Brolly team are recorded there — see Activity Log.

There is no per-account or per-person fee, so connect every official account your organisation runs. Plans are sized by capture volume, so a large increase in archived activity can prompt a plan review under your agreement; it does not change your price without that conversation.
